A founding member of Edge City, guitarist
Jon Madof has since
established himself as a rising star in New York's downtown scene. Signed to John Zorn's Tzadik label, he released his first record

Tintinabulus Liverspot
Scott MacDonald joined Edge City for concerts
between 2001-05, and recorded on Aktivavoco. He's a
music therapist, avant-gardist, former punk rocker and co-founder of the legendary
Philadelphia band Tintinabulus. Liverspot, written by
David Bath, is an excerpt from Tintin's
self-titled 1999 record, an electrified romp that conjures Zappa, the
11th Hour and classic King Crimson, while maintaining a brilliantly
fresh identity. Scott M-drums; David B-guitar; Aino Soderheim- alto sax;
John Thomas-bass; David Sherick-vibraphone. more... |

Society of One Strange Knowledge 2/Middle Mystic
Paul downie is the one in 'Society of One.'

r&b, ska, zydeco, and funk, as well as international sources.
This cut is a medley of two pieces, splicing Paul's poetry with an
uptempo, eastern-tinged jam written with Paul Brion. Paul downie-vocal and

Woz Gentle Dragon
Paul Woznicki has been exploring the
improv medium as a synthesist and composer since the 1970s, offering a
prolific series of recordings and staying on the leading edge of
electronic music along the way. Gentle Dragon is an excerpt from a solo project, released
in 2001. It's a good example of his layered approach
to sound design. more... |
